I'm starting to get really excited about my summer plans! I'll be living on Chincoteague island in Virginia, interning with the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. I start at the end of May and am in the visitors services area, which means I'll be putting on environmental education programs, working with kids camps, leading nature walks, and helping the biologists in the field. I've started to virtually explore the area, so I made a map with the refuge location, some good eats, and the famous pony swim on it, where the wild ponies swim across the channel each year for the auction.
